Kuala Lumpur, 23 April 2019 – MyAngkasa Az Zahra Sdn Bhd (“MyAngkasa Az Zahra” or the “Company”) is acquiring 379 units in Tower B and Tower C of Datum Jelatek development for rent-to-own scheme.
The Company has today entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with DatumCorp International (“DatumCorp”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (“PKNS”) to formalise the deal.
MyAngkasa Az Zahra is a special purpose vehicle company set up by Sukaniaga Sdn Bhd and MyAngkasa Holdings Sdn Bhd to provide exclusive online digital end-to-end solutions for the Cooperatives and Member Cooperatives of Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (“ANGKASA”) from the stage of loan application to the loan approval process for a period of 15 years, via build, operate and maintain business model.
Datum Jelatek is an award-winning integrated development with a gross development value of RM1.2 billion by DatumCorp.
Signing on behalf of MyAngkasa Az Zahra is its Director Encik Mohamad Shaharul Mohamad Shariff, while DatumCorp is represented by its Chairman Puan Hajah
Norita Mohd Sidek.
Encik Mohamad Shaharul, who is also the Group Chief Executive Officer of Orion IXL Berhad (“Orion IXL”, Bloomberg: ORI:MK, Reuters: ORIO.KL) said, MyAngkasa Az Zahra will work closely together with Orion IXL to develop and provide a fully integrated rentto-own technology platform for the applicant to purchase and own the property without hassle and bank financial scoring exposure.
“Orion IXL had previously developed an electronic online loan application system (FINTECH system) from the stage of loan application to the loan approval process for the Cooperatives and Member Cooperatives of ANGKASA. We will use the same business model to develop the FINTECH system for MyAngkasa Az Zahra’s rent-to-own technology platform,” he added.
Just 3.5km away from KLCC, one of the rare transit-oriented developments within the area, Datum Jelatek, is directly connected to the Jelatek LRT station and is located on Jalan Jelatek. The entire development consisted of both retail and residential components.
Datum Jelatek offered home purchasers an option of four majestic towers spread over 5.65 acres. It had 712 residential units which are linked to a 319,000 sq ft net lettable area four-storey retail mall.
Currently, the development is about 65% complete. The entire development is targeted to be completed in March 2020.
